The Big Door Prize | Apple TV+

This 2023 comedy TV series, now with two seasons, is based on a book of the same name. The story centres around a small town called Deerfield and its residents, who discover a magical fate-predicting machine at their local grocery store. Shogun | Disney+

Set in 1600s Japan, Shogun tells the tale of Lord Yoshii Toranaga, surrounded by all sorts of enemies and fighting for his life. The arrival of a mysterious European ship marooned near a fishing village changes the fate of all those who reside nearby. Starring Hiroyuki Sanada, Cosmo Jarvis, Anna Sawai. Agatha All Along | Disney+

A spinoff of the WandaVision series, Agatha All Along is a miniseries focusing on Agatha Harkness. The series follows Agtha after she is broken free from a distorted spell by a Goth teen who takes her on a quest down the Witches’ Road. Starring Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata. The Old Man | Disney+

Starring Jeff Bridges, this show centres around a retired CIA agent (Bridges) who is hunted down by old friends and foes. However, everything takes a dramatic turn when a familiar man visits him after three decades. Starring Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow, Alia Shawkat. Now streaming on Disney +.

Unsolved Mysteries | Netflix

Five new episodes of the crime addict favourite Unsolved Mysteries dropped on Netflix this week. The episodes touch on a mysterious humanoid creature, the mystery surrounding an embalmed head in the woods, and the unfortunate discovery of a wife bloodied in her own basement. Robert Stack returns as host.

Just in time for the spooky season, It’s What’s Inside is a psychological thriller movie about a pre-wedding reunion of a few college friends that takes a turn for the worst when a guest shows up with a mysterious suitcase.
