Dan Aykroyd narrates Fight for Italy to mark Remembrance Day

You are probably familiar with the comedic works of actor Dan Aykroyd. Ghostbusters, Coneheads, and the Blues Brothers to just name a few of his many film credits.

This year, for Remembrance Day Aykroyd, took on a more serious role. He was chosen to narrate Military Moments, which over the years, Legion Magazine has collaborated with notable Canadians in sharing the history of our home and native land.

Legion Magazine and Canada’s Ultimate Story unveiled the 2018 Military Moments web series, the Fight for Italy.

Narrated by Akyroyd, the video explores critical Allied victories on Sicily and the Italian mainland which set the stage for the fight that would lead to the end of the war.

“We know that Mr. Aykroyd has a love of Canadian history and particularly military history as demonstrated in his recent work in the documentary series A Nation Soars,” said Jennifer Morse, General Manager of Canvet Productions. “So we thought to reach out to see if there was any interest in narrating our short video to honour those Canadians who fought and made the ultimate sacrifice in Italy 75 years ago.

Canvet Productions has been fortunate to work with the likes of  William Shatner, Mike Myers, David Suzuki, Gordon Pinsent, the Honourable Mayann Francis, Linden MacIntyre, and the late Leonard Cohen, adding Dan Aykroyd to the exceptional list of honourable Canadians.
