Applications now open for two True Patriot Love’s funds

True Patriot Love is currently taking applications for two of its four major funds, the TPL Family & Veterans Transition Fund and The Captain Nichola Goddard Fund. Applications are open until April 27th, to all registered charities that operate in domains meeting the funds’ respective mandate.

“The TPL Family & Veterans Transition Fund is for programs and services that help directly military members and families in best transitioning from the military to civilian life whereas the Captain Nichola Goddard Fund is funding charities which services are aimed directly at service woman, veterans & their families,” explained Laura Hearn, Senior Director Marketing & Communications at TPL.

Though the foundation aims to fund as many projects as possible, applicants are encouraged to communicate with TPL’s team to seek ways to strengthen their application before submitting it. The team may also redirect organizations to other funds if they consider it better suited for the needs they meet. Collaborations between charities are also welcomed.

“Each application goes through a robust review process both internally and by an advisory committee composed of experts across the field to better identify the most significant needs with regards to each fund’s mandate,” added Hearn.

As a foundation, True Patriot Love supports initiatives within the pillars of family support, mental health, physical rehabilitation and all facets of Veteran transition to benefit the active service members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, and their families.
