New Online Tools Offered on CMP Platform OPSOFT
In an effort to reduce administrative errors and save time for Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, Chief Military Personnel (CMP) has launched new online tools available on the CMP Platform OPSOFT.
Some of these online tools include:
- DMPAP calculators,
- DCBA adjudication request and processing tool, and
- conference management tool and course management tool.
DMPAP Calculators
According to a military memo this summer, the new online tools will allow human resource administrators to ditch the old MS Excel-based calculators to use these centrally managed web-based ones.
“This enables the data to be accessible to both orderly rooms and service members and for it to stay stored digitally between postings,” stated CANFORGEN 097/24.
Human administrators can register to train to use the new online tool straight from the OPSOFT platform.
DCBA Adjudication Request
CAF members can submit adjudication requests related to relocation, OUTCAN, and domestic benefits through the DCBA Adjudication Request and Processing Tool. The tool will allow members to provide information and supporting evidence.
“Through the tool’s digital workflow process, requests will be routed through the review process for analysis and decision. At every step of the process, members, relocation coordinators, and orderly rooms are able to monitor progress, enabling greater transparency,” adds the CANFORGEN.
The member can access decisions digitally, which the military hopes will “enable a more efficient resolution of requests.”
Conference and course management tools
Canadian Forces Health Services members are able to use the Conference Management Tool and the Course Management Tool to find and request participation in conferences and other learning opportunities.
“Through these tools, approvals are conducted at both the local and HQ levels, providing much-needed oversight, financial tracking and reporting to the branch personnel and local training coordinators,” added the CANFORGEN.
CAF members can access the OPSOFT Platform via the National Defence network. Questions can be directed here.
