Chief of the Defence Staff Announces CPO1/CWO Special Appointments and Retirements 2023
Special appointments in the arenas of Strategic Leadership Team (SLT), Post Tactical Leadership Team (PTLT) and Tactical Post Unit Leadership Team (TPULT) were recently announced by the Chief of the Defence Staff, Gen. Wayne Eyre.
“It is my privilege to announce the following Chief Petty Officer 1st Class (CPO 1)/CWO appointments that have taken place, or will occur in 2023. I offer my heartfelt congratulations and sincerest best wishes to those taking on new appointments and responsibilities,” stated the CDS in CANFORGEN 102/23.
Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) Appointments in 2023
The following CPO 1 and Chief Warrant Officers (CWO) were appointed to a SLT in 2023:
- CPO 1 P.G. Harel was appointed Chief Professional Conduct and Culture Command CWO in Ottawa. CWO Harel will be replacing CWO G.R.C. McCann.
- CWO R.K. Sullivan will be appointed Command CWO Canadian Joint Operations Command in Ottawa. CWO Sullivan will replace CWO G.Y.E. Poissant.
Post Tactical Leadership Team (PTLT) Appointments
According to the CANFORGEN, the following CPO 1 and CWOs were previously appointed to a PTLT:
- CPO 1 D. Bisal was appointed Canadian Fleet Pacific CPO 1, in Esquimalt. CPO 1 Bisal replaces CPO 1 A.D. Lee.
- CWO R. Colgan was appointed 3 Canadian Division Division Deputy CWO in Edmonton.
- CWO B.H.J. Gardner was appointed Canadian Army Doctrine and Training Centre Reserve CWO Advisor in Kingston.
- CWO A.C. Harris was appointed 39 Canadian Brigade Group Sergeant-Major, in Vancouver.
- CPO 1 A.D. Lee was appointed Maritime Forces Pacific CPO 1 in Esquimalt. CPO Lee replaces CPO 1 T. Blonde.
- CWO S.C. MacEachern was appointed Royal Canadian Air Force Reserves CWO in Ottawa. CWO MacEachern replaces CWO J.A. McKenzie.
- CWO R.J.A. Reisch was appointed CPO 1/CWO Corps CWO in Ottawa. CWO Reisch replaces CWO M.J.M. Godin.
- CPO 1 R.S. Wilcox was appointed Canadian Forces Base Borden CWO in Borden. CPO 1 Wilcox replaces CPO 1 T. Jones.
