Air Force Commander Announces Commanding Officer and Senior Appointments for 2025 APS

A number of significant senior Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) appointments were announced just before the turn of the new year.

The appointments are for the upcoming annual posting season (APS).

“My sincere congratulations to all. These appointments reflect your significant contributions to the RCAF and they carry with them a heightened degree of expectation of your personal and professional attributes,” said Lieutenant-General (LGen) E.J. Kenny, Commander of the RCAF, in a statement.

Exemplifying highest standards

In the statement, published in CANFORGEN 188/24, Kenny reminds the new appointees of the expectations on them. The new senior leadership of the RCAF was reminded to study and embody the CAF Ethos: Trusted to Serve.

“I depend on you to lead our aviators with integrity, courage and conviction. As you prepare to assume your critical leadership opportunities within the RCAF, I challenge each of you to think about how you will ensure that every member under your command can thrive and grow in a safe, inclusive and respectful environment. I am confident that you are well-prepared to succeed in this critical command responsibility,” said the RCAF Commander in the statement.

Branch’s Priorities

In the CANFORGEN, Kenny also touched upon the recently published RCAF strategy and the branch’s priorities for the upcoming years.

“I look forward to the opportunity to articulate my personal views to you at a future RCAF Unit Command Team Orientation Program session. More importantly, I look forward to hearing your ideas and actions in support of our new strategy,” added the CANFORGEN.
