- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 cup green pepper
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 celery, thinly sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms
- 1/2 cup red pepper
- 1 cup chow mein noodles
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup peas (optional)
Instructions
- Cook rice as per directions.
- In a medium size frying pan cook beef for 5 minutes. Add the celery, and onions and continue cooking until celery and onions are transparent.
- Then add remaining ingredients to frying pan and transfer to a casserole dish.
- Cover casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 mins.
- Then sprinkle noodles on top and bake uncovered for 5-10 mins.
- Serve.
