Flying strong and proud.
Shot on October 25th, 2021, near Juno Beach, this week’s Favourite Photo features five flags flying together.
The flags on each end are from France: the French flag (outside left) and Normandy’s (outside right).
Flying proudly between them are the British, second left, United States, middle and Canadian flag, second right, the three countries that participated in D-Day, also known as Operation Overload, a turning point for the Allies during the Second World War.
Cpl Laura Landry shot the photo during an Operation Reassurance training flight.
We will remember.
