More than 200 light-armed vehicles, tactical-armed patrol vehicles, and new light-tactical vehicles arrive in Latvia, as shown in our favourite photo of the week.
The arrival of this shipment to Latvia is another sign of the Canadian Armed Forces’ commitment to supporting not only the Eastern European country but NATO and the defence of NATO’s eastern flank.
Supporting Latvia is not new. The CAF has committed troops and equipment to the country. Under OP REASSURANCE, there are approximately 1,600 troops in Latvia currently.
Additionally, starting in November 2024, Canadian soldiers will conduct their first brigade exercise and NATO Combat Readiness Evaluation to support the NATO Multinational Brigade Latvia.
