Under the dancing Northern Lights, His Majesty’s Canadian Ship Glace Bay sails in Canada’s northern waters in our favourite photo of the week.
Captured on August 18, 2020, during Operation NANOOK 2020, the Canadian Armed Forces’ “signature” northern operation involving a number of exercises aimed to help the military secure Canada’s northern regions.
Operation NANOOK-TUUGAALIK, showcased in the image, is concentrated on the Royal Canadian Navy and allows the Navy to demonstrate its presence and conduct surveillance in the north.
