A Christmas Story is a charming movie about a nine year old boy named Ralphie and his family living in small town Indiana during the 1950’s.

This movie is centred on Ralphie’s quest for his ultimate Christmas present, a Red Ryder BB gun.

Ralphie tells everyone that he wants this BB gun and the consensus is, “You’ll shoot your eye out”.

It is fun to watch Ralphie’s family interact with one another. Ralphie’s Dad, “The old man” is quite the character. He wins the most outrageous prize and he is so proud of it to his wife’s horror.

You don’t have to be a boy to enjoy this movie. I think we can all relate to being a child and wanting something so bad. This was a time when special gifts came once a year. Watching this movie will make you nostalgia for a simpler time. In our society, Christmas comes every day for some kids.

I highly recommend this movie because it is the perfect family movie for Christmas time.I give this film 4 out of 5 Kernels.
