Lt. Jennifer Kusche captured Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members crossing in to Estonia on May 9, 2024, for Exercise SPRING STORM.
The exercise, held in Kilingi-Nõmme, Estonia, is the Estonian military’s largest annual exercise. This year, it was part of the larger NATO Steadfast Defender series of exercises.
Three years in the making, NATO’s Ex Steadfast Defender had over 90,000 military personnel training across multiple domains from January 2024 to May 2024.
NATO’s exercise consisted of a series of military exercises conducted by NATO members. Steadfast Defender’s purpose was to test and enhance the readiness and interoperability of NATO forces, ensuring they could respond rapidly and effectively to various threats.
