The crew of Motor Vessel (MV) Asterix conducts a replenishment at sea in our favourite photo of the week.
With the sun on the horizon, the crew replenished United States Ship (USS) Higgins in the East China Sea on November 7, 2023.
Motor Vessel (MV) Asterix and its crew of approximately 100 deployed to the Indo-Pacific region, in company with HMCS Ottawa and HMCS Vancouver, on Aug. 14, 2023, and were deployed for five months.
The ships and crew concluded their mission and returned home to Esquimalt, B.C., on Dec. 18, 2023, just in time for holiday celebrations.
