Converging in unison on a wintery Latvian day, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members deployed on NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Latvia.
Captured by Sgt. 1st Class Christian Milano, Spanish Army, CAF members participate in Exercise WOLVERINE FORGE as part of Operation REASSURANCE. The exercise took place at Camp Adazi Training area on Feb. 10, 2023.
Since 2017, the CAF has deployed members to Latvia to lead a NATO Battle Group, which forms the backbone of the Enhanced Forward Presence in Latvia. Ten other countries are a part of the battle group besides Canada.
