Shot at Camp Ādaži in Latvia, this week’s favourite photo features a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) personnel firing a Leopard 2A4M.
Deployed on Op REASSURANCE, the CAF’s largest overseas mission, the CAF contributes to NATO assurance and deterrence measures in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Canada-led NATO-enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group in Latvia is currently on the road to a Brigade. The Canadian Army Tank Squadron of 15 Leopard 2 and personnel is part of the growth in presence.
The tanks arrived at the end of November, with the image snapped on Dec. 7, 2023.
