This week’s favourite photo features Wreaths Across Canada’s annual wreath placing ceremony.
The second weekend of December, volunteers took time to help unload 5,000 balsam wreaths on Friday, add bows to approximately 2,500 wreaths on Saturday and place 5,000 wreaths on the graves of Canadian military personnel graves on Sunday.
Several hundred volunteers helped through the weekend to support the charity with their annual event.
Wreaths were placed on graves in the National Military Cemetery, the Field of Honour, and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission section at Beechwood Funeral and Cremation Cemetery, as well as graves at Notre Dame Cemetery in Ottawa.
