In a powerful depiction of the ongoing Exercise CRYSTAL ARROW, our favourite photo of the week captures the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in full gear, enveloped in a dense cloud of smoke.
Held at Camp Ādaži, Latvia, on March 11, 2024, Exercise CRYSTAL ARROW included CAF members who are part of the NATO enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) Battle Group Latvia.
Canada heads the NATO eFP Battle Group in Latvia, with CAF members making up the majority of the battle group. More than 500 CAF members are deployed here at a time.
