The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 RCAF Run, an exciting event in which participants from across Canada will come together to celebrate fitness, community, and the spirit of aviation.

Set against the RCAF’s Centennial celebrations, the 2024 RCAF Run promises a memorable and meaningful experience for participants of all fitness levels.

“We hope you can join us for the 2024 RCAF Run,” said Lieutenant-General E.J. Kenny, Commander RCAF. “On April 1st we marked the Centennial of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and we invite all Canadians to celebrate throughout the year by participating in events and activities nationwide. The RCAF Run connects current and former RCAF members and their families with Canadians, at home or abroad, through sport and fitness. Participating in the RCAF Run is not just about crossing the finish line; it’s about crossing flightpaths with members of Your Air Force. As we participate together, we will inspire each other to reach new horizons. We invite everyone to join and Earn your Wings at the 2024 RCAF Run.”

Two Formats

The Virtual RCAF Run began May 31st and continues until June 16th. In-person events began on March 22nd in Belgium and will end on June 14th in Gander, Newfoundland, and Labrador.

The 2024 RCAF Run offers participants the choice to run in-person at one of 20 events in and outside Canada or they can participate virtually. Racers will have the chance to run alongside active members of the RCAF, veterans, and fellow Canadians, making this year’s event a true testament to unity and camaraderie.

“I wish all participants the best for a memorable 2024 RCAF Run,” remarked Chief Warrant Officer W.J. Hall, RCAF Command. “The Royal Canadian Air Force has a presence in the lives of many Canadians through our serving members and veterans, their families, and our Wings from coast to coast. As we marked 100 years of service on April 1st, we honoured those who have served during our first 100 years and inspire the next great generation of Canadians as we move into our next 100 years. Join us for the 2024 RCAF Run and help celebrate the Centennial of your Air Force.”
