METSpouse to host webinar to prepare military spouses for upcoming west coast job fair

METSpouse will be hosting a webinar, entitled Operation Career Connect Workshop, on May 23 to prepare military spouses for Canada Company’s upcoming job fair in Vancouver, BC.

The webinar will be covering topics such as job fair etiquette, targeting employers, resume and cover page writing, LinkedIn, packaging yourself and more.

The workshop is designed to help military spouses put their best foot forward at Canada Company’s job fair, which will be held on May 31 at HMCS Discovery in Vancouver, BC.

“I would encourage military members, veterans, and spouses to attend because it is helpful workshop that truly gives them an advantage when preparing to meet potential employers. It is one resource of the many that we provide and I believe that to reach the goal of getting hired, which many of these members want, it’s important to use all the tools at their disposal. This workshop is free and was put together specifically to meet their needs,” said  Marram Mohammad, MET & METSpouse Assistant, Canada Company.

Operation Career Connect Workshop will be held Tuesday, May 23 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. PDT.
