Canada Company seeks input from successful transitioned veterans
After last month’s announcement that Canada Company will be receiving $1.1 million, the organization is now laying the groundwork to put that funding to use. In order to use that funding to help the military community, Canada Company is requesting veterans who have successfully made the transition to civilian life to fill out a short survey.
The survey consists of five questions that are expected to take five minutes to complete. The information will be anonymous, except if participants wish to enter a $50 Tim Hortons draw. In that case, an email is required.
It was at Canada Company’s annual National Transition exChange that Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence Kent Hehr announced on behalf of MaryAnn Mihychuk, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour that the government was pledging a large sum for the betterment of the veteran community.
The funds are expected to help create a searchable online database and forecasting tool to help military members transitioning to civilian life find meaningful employment.
The deadline to complete the survey is December 15. Click here if you wish to participate in the survey.
