Canada Army Run opens registration for 10th-anniversary event in 2017
The very popular Canada Army Run opened its registration on Monday, November 7th, for its 2017 event, to be held on September 17th.
Deputy Race Director Jeffrey Moyle explained, “We opened up sooner rather than later this year as our dates were set early and Ottawa 2017 is already a big talk in town. We want participants to have enough time to book accommodations. Registration is a quick and an easy process on our website. Participants are also invited to raise money for Support Our Troops and Soldier On.”
Fundraising will be a big part of Canada’s Army run, once again this year. Over $400,000 was raised in 2015 and 2016 official donations should be up soon. The team is hoping to increase awareness and participation for its 10th-anniversary event, in 2017.
“There will be a 10k event this year on top of the usual 5k, 21k, relay and Commander’s Challenge races. We usually have well over 20,000 participants and are hoping to have even more this time around,” added Moyle.
