Veterans Ombudsman hosts Twitter chats to reach Veterans

Veterans Ombudsman Guy Parent recently announced the launch of a new series of Twitter Chats. The first chat will take place on April 5.

“These chats will help to reach out to Veterans and their families across the country and discuss the issues that matter to them,” said Parent.

Stating that “support to families in transition is a key priority for my office,” the first chat will be on families in transition to civilian life. The chat will follow the publication of “Support to Military Families in Transition: A Review,” on March 31.

The first Twitter Chat will be co-hosted by Nora Spinks, CEO of the Vanier Institute of the Family, a partner with the CAF in researching ways to provide better support to military families.

Participants will have the chance to pose questions, share information and hear from families, service providers, and experts.

You can join the conversation by using the hashtag #OVOChat and following the Veteran Ombudsman’s official Twitter account @VetsOmbudsman.

The Twitter Chat on Families in Transition will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. EDT on April 5, 2016.
