About DSG Unit
The Digital Services Group was announced in May 2024 by then-Chief of the Defence Staff, Gen. Wayne Eyre and Deputy Minister of National Defence Bill Matthews.
The move integrated the Chief Information Officer Group ( CIOG) and Digital Transformation Office (DTO) into one Level 1 Organization.
The DSG inherited the mandates of both former groups and is primarily focused on data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), enterprise resource planning modernization, cyber security and operations, Information Management (IM), and digital products and services.
