A Canadian Armoured Engineering Vehicle 2 conquers the Latvian terrain in our favourite photo of the week.
Captured on Oct. 14, 2024, the image depicts a Danish combat engineer directing the Canadian contingent during engineering demonstrations. The demonstrations were part of Exercise VERBOOM 2024, which took place at Military Base Ādaži in Latvia.
Canadian Armed Forces members work alongside deployed members from other nations at the Canadian-led NATO Multinational Brigade Latvia.
The nations include not only Denmark and Canada but also Albania, Czech Republic, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Canada’s presence in eastern Europe falls under Operation REASSURANCE.
