Six CF-188 Hornets sit on the flight line awaiting takeoff in our favourite photo of the week.
Also known as CF-18s, the fighter jets are in the United Kingdom for Exercise Cobra Warrior, a biannual multi-national exercise hosted by the UK. According to a US Air Force press release, the training is a live-fly field exercise and is part of the UK fighter weapons school graduation event.
Cpl Kastleen Strome snapped the photo on Sept. 10.
The Royal Canadian Air Force participated in this exercise for the first time in 2023 and will be participating in the current iteration, which runs from Sept. 16 to Oct. 4.
