Members of the 2nd Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) sift through the ash to clear hotspots in our favourite photo of the week.
The Canadian Armed Forces personnel deployed to Jasper, Alberta, under Operation LENTUS to help with the Alberta wildfire in that region. The PPCLI members worked alongside members of Parks Canada. The image was captured on July 28, 2024.
Members of the PPCLI and other reserve units from the area remained in Alberta under Operation LENTUS from the end of July until August 8 to assist with the local wildfires.
