His Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Max Bernays traverses the iconic Panama Canal under a starry sky in our favourite photo of the week.
After traversing the Panama Canal, during the ship’s coastal transfer, the ship sailed in Pacific waters for the first time.
Corporal William Gosse captured the monumental moment on March 24, 2024.
Delivered to the Royal Canadian Navy in 2022, HMCS Max Bernays will be the first of the Harry Dewolf class offshore patrol vessels to join the Pacific fleet.
Pictured here, the ship is en route to its new home base at Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt.
