CAF Personnel Economic Increase Breakdown

Additional economic increases were recently approved by the Treasury Board of Canada for non-commissioned members, general service officers and pilots in the rank of lieutenant colonel and below.

The economic increase also benefits all medical and dental officers.

“The retroactive lump sum payment for the supplemental increase effective April 1, 2022, announced on this message, will appear on the end-Nov pay,” stated CANFORGEN 119/23.

Rates of Increase

According to the CANFORGEN, the following rates have been approved:

  • 1.5 per cent, effective April 1, 2021
  • 4.79 per cent effective April 1, 2022, a compounded increase of 1.29 per cent
  • 3.0 per cent effective April 1, 2023, and a
  • 2.26 per cent effective April 1, 2024, a compounded increase of .26 per cent.

The pay increase follows the lump sum retroactive increase for all CAF members across the board that appeared on the mid-July pay and covered the period of April 1, 2021, to June 30, 2023.
