Canadian Joint Operations Command Announce Key Appointments

Key appointments for Canadian Joint Operations Command (CJOC), one of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) unified commands, were recently announced by CJOC’s Commander, VAdm. Bob Auchterlonie in CANFORGEN 67/23.

“You are privileged to assume these leadership positions of significant responsibility and entrusted to ensure the preparation for and conduct of operations. Above all, I expect each of you to build and protect a safe and inclusive workplace for all your members.

“My sincere congratulations to all on your appointments,” stated VAdm. Auchertlonie in his announcement.

These announcements are the first of CJOC appointments. The CAF will announce additional announcements once they’re finalized.

Commanding Officer Appointments

The following officers have been appointed Commanding Officers:

1. LCol. J.M. Fortin-Grondin has been appointed Commanding Officer of 3 CSU
2. LCol. C.M.F. Niquette has been appointed Commanding Officer of JSR
3. LCol. C.J.A. Vos has been appointed Commanding Officer 1 ESU

TF Command/Commanding Officer of Deployed Mission

The following officers have been appointed TF Command or Commanding Officer of a deployed mission:

1. Cdr. G. Lau has been appointed TF Comd-AJLOC of Operation SOPRANO
2. LCol. D.R. Matheson has been appointed TF COMD of Operation PRESENCE
3. Maj. W.H. Hunt has been appointed CTAT Jordan Commanding Officer of Joint Task Force (JTF) Impact
4. Maj. A.J. Graham has been appointed CTAT Lebanon Commanding Officer of JTF Impact
5. Maj. P.M.R. Chesne has been appointed TF COMD of Operation JADE.

Non-Commissioned Rank Appointments

The following CWOs are appointed regimental sergeant majors (RSM):

1. CWO T.G. McInnes has been appointed RSM of CFJOSG
2. CWO P. Dufour has been appointed RSM of CMSG
3. CWO B.E. Hughes has been appointed RSM 7 CFSD
4. MWO T.A. Williams has been appointed RSM of JSR on promotion.
5. MWO J.F.B Kirouac has been appointed RSM of 3 CSU on promotion.
