Operation Transition: BMO Bank of Montreal’s Panel Discussion and Networking Event for Job Seekers from the Defence Community

BMO is hosting a unique networking event for military veterans or spouses who are  transitioning their career  to the financial services industry. There will be a diverse panel of veterans, reservists, and military spouses in attendance sharing their personal career experiences.

Some of the panelists include MGen. (Ret.) David Fraser, a decorated military officer who has served in the Canadian Army for a period of 31 years at every rank from Lieutenant to Major-General on operations commanding Canadian and multinational troops. He led Operation Medusa, the largest battle in NATO’s history. Fraser has since worked as an executive in the private sector, is currently President of Aegis Corporation and provides counsel to BMO on the Canadian Defence Community Banking Program.

Another panelist is Larry Zelvin, Head, Financial Crimes at BMO, a retired officer and aviatorwho served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years. After retiring from the Navy, Zelvin has held a number of senior roles in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the White House, the Pentagon and at Cit. Hecurrently leads BMO’s cyber, fraud, physical security, and crisis management teams.

Members of BMO’s Veteran’s Advisory Council will also be present, as well as recruiters and hiring managers across lines of businesses. Job seekers will have an opportunity to get a professional headshot at a LinkedIn photo booth.

Operation Transition is taking place on the 3rd floor at Manulife Centre, 55 Bloor Street West, Toronto in the Ontario and Quebec meeting rooms.
