Body found in Owen Sound Harbour believed to be Andrew Fitzgerald

On Thursday August 18, at approximately 3:45 pm members of the Ontario Provincial Police Underwater Search and Recovery Unit found human remains believed to be 19 year old Andrew Fitzgerald.

The body was located near the water treatment facility on the east shore of the Owen Sound harbour.  

The coroner attended and has ordered a post-mortem examination to be conducted at the London Health Sciences Centre, in London Ontario. The date and time of the examination is unknown. 

A news conference will be held tomorrow at 11:00 am, at the Owen Sound Police Service located at 922 2nd Avenue West, in the city of Owen Sound.
