IDEaS is looking for your ideas when it comes to defence and security

Do you think you have what it takes to create solutions to help resolve defence and security challenges? If so, then the Innovation for Defence, Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program wants to hear your solutions and innovations.

Whether you’re a part of a small or large company or just a single human being, everyone has been invited to take part in this unique program.

In April 2018, IDEaS released its first public call for proposals (CFP) in search of the best of the best ideas.

There are 16 challenges divided into three different themes; People and Enhanced Human Performance, Anticipate Threat and Adapt to a Changing Environment.

The Department of National Defence announced they are investing $1.6 billion into the program over the next 20 years, including the $313 million they’ve already invested in the last five years. Participants will be given a lump sum to help fund their ideas. If your idea isn’t chosen, you are not required to pay the money back.

Every challenge comes with its own set of criteria, and specific application process and applicants are invited to apply to as many challenges as they wish.

For more information on how to apply or list of challenges available click here for more information or follow IDEaS on Twitter.
